Jack White donates his signature guitar to the internet-famous player known for deliberately mangling classic riffs.

Jack White has given one of his signature guitars to a viral guitarist known for her humorous takes on classic riffs. Charlene Kaye gained popularity on social media by intentionally playing iconic songs poorly, often in Guitar Center, to provoke reactions from men. It seems Jack White appreciates her unique style.

In a recent post, Kaye shared the exciting news that White sent her a Triplecaster guitar. “I don’t know how to say this without bragging, so I’m just gonna brag,” she wrote. After performing at White’s Third Man Records in Nashville, she met his wife, Olivia Jean, who informed her that White was a fan and wanted to gift her the guitar.

Kaye expressed her gratitude, saying, “It’s so dope, because not only does it mean that he is a feminist, he also has a sense of humor.” To honor White’s legacy, she announced the formation of an all-Asian cover band called the Rice Stripes. Kaye even performed a parody of the White Stripes’ hit “Seven Nation Army” as the band’s debut single.
