The Linda Lindas have just released a new single titled “Burning Out.” Guitarist Lucia de la Garza shared that the song feels both fresh and nostalgic for the band. She explained that it was especially meaningful for her since she had just graduated high school and was experiencing a lot of change.
The band wrote “Burning Out” during a week-long writing retreat in Palm Springs, just a month after graduation. The song reflects feelings of nostalgia and the sense of time moving quickly, especially as her friends were heading off to college in the fall.
