R.E.M. fans have a new way to share their personal stories about the band. A website called R.E.M. Stories has launched, allowing fans to tell how the band’s music has impacted their lives. The site aims to collect and preserve these stories, highlighting the connection between R.E.M. and its listeners over the past four decades.
Created by Justin Bass, the project features a variety of stories. As the website states, “Some are funny. Some are profound. All are true.” Together, these stories create an oral history of what R.E.M. means to its fans. Currently, there are three stories available, with new ones set to be added on the 1st and 15th of each month.
Fans can visit remstories.net to submit their own stories and read what others have shared. It’s a great way to connect with fellow fans and celebrate the music that has touched so many lives.
