Olivia Rodrigo has just released the studio version of her duet with Robert Smith from The Cure, titled “what’s wrong with me.” This song follows their live performance together at the Primavera Sound festival earlier this month. It is featured on Rodrigo’s new album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love.
In the first chorus, Smith’s vocals join Rodrigo’s as they sing, “My head is spinning and my stomach is sick/ Say I’m in love, so it’s hard to admit/ I can’t eat, I can’t sleep/ I think you’re what’s wrong with me.” Fans can now watch the lyric video for “what’s wrong with me” on YouTube.
This collaboration marks a special moment for Rodrigo, who previously shared the stage with Smith at the 2025 Glastonbury festival. She also pays homage to The Cure in her song “drop dead,” the lead single from her new album, which includes a track simply called “the cure.”
Rodrigo expressed her admiration for Smith in a note to fans after their Primavera Sound performance, saying, “Robert has been soundtracking my life for as long as I can remember. He has written some of my favorite songs of all time. His music moves me & inspires me to a degree that is hard to put into words.
