Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda has revealed more about the band’s upcoming documentary, titled Unshatter. The project, directed by band member Joe Hahn, was first announced in June with a teaser trailer. In a recent interview, Shinoda shared that the idea for a Linkin Park film has been in the works for a long time, even before the passing of frontman Chester Bennington in 2017.
Shinoda explained that Hahn wanted to create something that would help fans understand the band’s journey. The emotional weight of the project grew after Bennington’s death. Unshatter will showcase how the band members are “picking up the pieces” and their decision to continue with a new singer, Emily Armstrong.
Shinoda expressed excitement about the documentary, saying, “More info will come out soon. We’re very proud of Joe.” Linkin Park released their first album with Armstrong, titled From Zero, in 2024, and they are currently on tour in Europe.
