The Plain White T’s recently took to the skies on a Southwest Airlines flight, performing their hit song “Hey There Delilah” as part of the airline’s Live at 35 program. This unique initiative invites musicians to entertain passengers at 35,000 feet. This performance was special as it marked the band’s second time playing on a Southwest flight; they were also one of the first bands to kick off the Live at 35 program 15 years ago.
Frontman Tom Higgenson shared his excitement, saying, “We’ve played a lot of venues, but there is nothing like hearing a plane full of people singing along with your music at 35,000 feet.” He reflected on their previous performance with Southwest, noting how much they enjoyed making history with the airline and its friendly team.
Fans can catch the Plain White T’s live on their current U.S. tour with Yellowcard.
