Mike D of the Beastie Boys has announced a series of solo shows across the U.S. The concerts will kick off on August 30 in Boston, followed by performances on September 1 in Washington, D.C., September 3 in Asheville, North Carolina, September 5 in Atlanta, and September 9 in New York City.
Presales for tickets start on Thursday at 10 a.m. local time, with general sales beginning on Friday at the same time. For more details, fans can check out MikeD5D.com.
In addition to the tour, Mike D will release his debut solo album, titled Thank You, on August 28. This will be the first full-length solo project from a Beastie Boy since the group disbanded in 2012 after the passing of Adam “MCA” Yauch. Three songs from the album, “Switch Up,” “What We Got,” and “True Colors,” are already available for listening.
