Foo Fighters perform renditions of The Beatles’ songs and engage in impromptu jam sessions with Dave Grohl’s daughter’s fiancé at concerts in Liverpool.

Foo Fighters played the second of two shows in Liverpool on Saturday and paid tribute to The Beatles. They performed a live cover of the Abbey Road track “I Want You (She’s So Heavy)” for the first time.

At the first Liverpool show, a fan named Max held a sign asking to play if he solved a Rubik’s Cube onstage. Dave Grohl invited him up. After Max solved the cube, Grohl asked him to play drums on the Foo Fighters song “Rope.” After the set, it came out that Max is Harper Grohl’s boyfriend. The moment was staged to celebrate his 18th birthday.

Before the concerts, students from Liverpool’s Anfield Road Primary School performed “Times Like These.” A video of that performance is available online.

Foo Fighters are touring Europe now behind their April album Your Favorite Toy. The tour moves to North America in August.
