Bad Wolves present their new ensemble with the release of their single ‘Paint It Red’.

Bad Wolves have a new single, “Paint It Red,” and a new singer. Sara Skinner, who goes by Killboy, steps in as lead vocalist. She joins drummer John Boecklin — the only original member left — plus bassist Derek Bolman and guitarist AJ Rebollo.

Boecklin says they wanted more than someone to fill a slot. He called Sara’s voice powerful, full of presence, and able to take the band in new directions. The “Paint It Red” video is streaming now on YouTube.

Bad Wolves first hit big in 2018 with a viral cover of the Cranberries’ “Zombie.” The band’s original lineup included Boecklin, frontman Tommy Vext, guitarists Doc Coyle and Chris Cain, and bassist Kyle Konkiel. They released two albums, then Vext left in 2021. The band then recorded two more albums with Daniel “DL” Laskiewicz, who now plays bass in Falling in Reverse. Coyle, Cain and Konkiel have also moved on.
