Stephen Morris and Gillian Gilbert of New Order will cease touring for the foreseeable future, according to recent news.

New Order say founding members Stephen Morris and Gillian Gilbert will stop touring “for the foreseeable future.” The band will play a show in Chile this November, but Morris and Gilbert will not be on stage.

“Due to personal health reasons, Stephen and Gillian won’t be touring for the foreseeable future and will not be joining for this show,” the band wrote on Instagram. Bernard Sumner, Phil Cunningham and Tom Chapman said they are sorry the two can’t join, but that the circumstances make it impossible.

Also in November, New Order will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame alongside their earlier band, Joy Division. The band has not said whether Morris and Gilbert will attend the ceremony. Former bassist Peter Hook has said he will go.
