Rush has postponed two shows on their Fifty Something tour after lead singer Geddy Lee was diagnosed with laryngitis and bronchitis. The band canceled the June 30 concert at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, and the July 2 show at the same venue.
Doctors advised Geddy to rest, so the band made the decision just hours before the June 30 performance. Guitarist Alex Lifeson said in a social video that during soundcheck Geddy “could barely speak let alone sing.”
The June 30 date is now set for July 11, and the July 2 show is rescheduled for July 13. Original tickets will be honored for the new dates, and refunds are available for anyone who can’t attend.
The band thanked fans for their patience and support and said they look forward to seeing everyone once Geddy has fully recovered.
