From Ashes to New joins Shinedown’s U.S. tour Saturday in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. The band released a new album, Reflections, in April and now has more songs than time to play them.
Lead singer Case says the band no longer tries to match the headliner’s style like they used to. “We’re trying to be ourselves,” he says. “We play the songs that are big for us and that we like playing.”
From Ashes to New opened for Black Veil Brides earlier this year. No matter who’s headlining, their goal stays the same: give the best show possible. “We’re gonna bring our A game,” Case says. “We’re constantly trying to make our show better — soundwise, lookwise, song selection-wise. We want to raise the bar every time.”
