Melissa Auf der Maur has announced a new compilation called Bass Womb Room: My ’90s 4-Track Demos x Field Recordings. It will be released Sept. 4 and collects unreleased recordings she made in the 1990s. The tracks come from her 4-track tape recorder recorded alone in her apartment and from experimental recordings captured on tour.
A photo book, My ’90s Rock Photographs, follows on Sept. 8. The book is a visual companion to her memoir Even the Good Girls Will Cry, which came out in March. Photos from the book will be shown at the Art Gallery of Ontario starting Sept. 2. Auf der Maur will do a book signing there on Sept. 9.
Separately, the Hole Facebook page is teasing a news announcement coming Friday. Earlier this year, frontwoman Courtney Love said Hole was not reuniting, but she did mention plans to tour with Auf der Maur. Fans should keep an eye out for more updates.
