The Smashing Pumpkins are finally headlining Lollapalooza in their hometown of Chicago. They played Lolla in 1994 when it was a touring festival, but have never headlined since it settled in Chicago in 2005. They also never performed at the festival’s Grant Park site—until now.
The band will close out Friday night at Grant Park during Lollapalooza 2026. Frontman Billy Corgan called the show “very meaningful.” He said the band has had many ups and downs, and that Friday will be a special night in their story.
Lollapalooza runs Thursday through Sunday. You can stream the Pumpkins’ set live on Hulu and Disney+.
