Alice in Chains is reissuing its 1996 Unplugged live album on vinyl for the 30th anniversary. The LP is up for preorder now from the band’s webstore. This is the first U.S. vinyl release of the album.
Unplugged was recorded for the MTV Unplugged series. It features stripped-down versions of songs like “Rooster,” “Down in a Hole,” “Would?” and “Angry Chair.”
After the Unplugged show, the band took a long hiatus. Vocalist Layne Staley died in 2002. Alice in Chains reformed in 2006 with singer William DuVall.
