Wolf Alice has released a cover of “Hammond Song,” originally by sister trio The Roches. Ellie Rowsell is joined by guest singers Julia Cumming and Bria Salmena to recreate the song’s close harmonies. Rowsell says the band have long loved the song and its guitar and vocal style. They first used that sound on Blue Weekend and it helped shape The Clearing. Since Bria and Julia were living in LA when the band were recording there, Rowsell thought it would be fun to learn the harmonies and sing them together. The cover appears on The Clearing: B Sides, out Aug. 21. It follows Wolf Alice’s 2025 album, The Clearing. The band will play Lollapalooza on Saturday.
