Olivia Rodrigo joined The Smashing Pumpkins onstage at Lollapalooza in Chicago on July 31. She sang “Thirty-Three” from Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness with Billy Corgan and the band. Video of Rodrigo’s appearance was shared on The Smashing Pumpkins’ Facebook page.
The Pumpkins’ set also featured guest spots by Yungblud and former bassist Melissa Auf der Maur. This was the band’s first Lollapalooza performance since the festival settled in Chicago in 2005.
The Smashing Pumpkins will start their Rats in a Cage U.S. tour in September. Each show will include one set playing Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness and another set covering songs from across their career. Fans can expect big moments and special guests.
