A new documentary about late Rush drummer Neil Peart will air on CBC. Neil Peart: No One’s Disciple premieres Sept. 23.
The film looks at Peart’s artistry and lasting influence. It uses rare archival footage, personal reflections and live performances. Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson appear. An all-star group of drummers also tackles Peart’s famously demanding parts, showing the skill behind his playing.
Peart died in 2020 at 67. His last show with Rush was the final date of their farewell tour in 2015. Rush reunited in 2025 with Lee and Lifeson and new drummer Anika Nilles. Their Fifty Something tour began in June and runs across North America into December.
Also on the calendar: the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is hosting a Rush fan experience Sept. 17–20 in Cleveland. Fans can join trivia, see some band artifacts and watch archival footage. Rush was inducted into the Hall in 2013.
