Rush will film all four shows of their Toronto run on Friday, the start of a four-night stand in their hometown. Bassist and singer Geddy Lee says Toronto was a natural choice. The band will play more than 40 songs across the four shows, giving them a chance to capture the full set.
These are Rush’s first Toronto dates since 2015 and their first shows after drummer Neil Peart’s death in 2020. Lee and guitarist Alex Lifeson brought the band back in 2025 with drummer Anika Nilles.
Lee says fans are traveling from around the world. He calls the tour a celebration of Rush’s history and a tribute to Neil. The shows have been emotional, he adds, with fans louder and prouder than ever. The filmed concerts will let more people relive the experience — and hear plenty of classic moments, like fans air-drumming along to “Tom Sawyer.”
