Sevendust is hitting the road on the Dead/Seven tour with Theory of a Deadman. The band still sounds hungry and ready to prove itself.
Singer Lajon Witherspoon says their agent has been putting together shows that bring different crowds together. The band likes that crossover. They want to play for people who haven’t seen them before and win them over.
A recent trip to Europe reminded the band what that feels like. Witherspoon says they played for many fans who didn’t know them. After a few songs, the crowd was into it. “Got ’em,” he said. It felt like 1997 again.
Fans can expect a mix of songs from across Sevendust’s 15-album career. They’ll also hear music from the new album, One, released in May. The band played three new songs on the last run — more than they’ve done in years.
If you like high-energy shows and a band that still brings it, Sevendust on the Dead/Seven tour is one to catch.
