Mumford & Sons’ breakout single “Little Lion Man” has reached 1 billion streams on Spotify. It’s the band’s first song to join Spotify’s Billions Club.
“Little Lion Man” was released in 2009 as the band’s debut single. It appeared on their first album, Sigh No More. The song hit No. 1 on the Billboard Alternative Airplay chart and earned a Grammy nomination. The track helped bring the band’s banjo-driven folk sound to a global audience.
Mumford & Sons have released five more albums since. Their latest record, Prizefighter, came out in February. Fans saw Marcus Mumford perform at the Spotify Beach show in Cannes on June 24, 2026.
