Mumford & Sons surprised fans at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday when Jason Sudeikis joined them onstage. The Ted Lasso star sang the show’s theme song with the band. Marcus Mumford co-wrote and performs that theme on the Apple TV series.
The band opened the moment with their song “Believe,” which they released five years before Ted Lasso premiered. Setlist.fm shows “Believe” came right before the theme in the MSG set.
Mumford & Sons are on a U.S. tour for their new album, Prizefighter. They play two more nights at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday and Thursday. Fans shared video of the guest appearance on social media, adding to the buzz around the run.
