The actors will portray Ryan Price and Fabian Salah in the upcoming season scheduled for spring 2027.
Daniel Diemer and Shaheen Jafargholi have been cast in season 2 of the hockey romance series Heated Rivalry. Diemer will play Ryan Price, a retired enforcer for the Toronto Guardians hockey team, while Jafargholi will portray indie musician Fabian Salah. The two characters serve as the leads in Tough Guy, the third book of author Rachel Reid’s Game Changers series, and their story will intersect with main characters Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie) and Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams).
Show creator Jacob Tierney and executive producer Brendan Brady praised Diemer and Jafargholi in a statement, noting that both actors bring “confidence and emotional honesty” to their roles. Additional cast members for season 2 include Emily Hampshire, Priyanka, Justice Smith, Charlie Gillespie, and Edvin Ryding. The second season is set to premiere in spring of 2027 on HBO Max in the U.S.
