The performance at Scotiabank Arena featured new drummer Simon Dawson and the return of “Infinite Dreams” to Canada after 38 years.
Iron Maiden kicked off the North American leg of their 2026 “Run For Your Lives” tour on August 29 at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario. Celebrating their 50th anniversary with a tour focused on their first nine studio albums, the British heavy metal band played “Infinite Dreams”—from 1988’s Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son—in Canada for the first time in 38 years. The show also highlighted the band’s current lineup, which features drummer Simon Dawson following the departure of longtime drummer Nicko McBrain after his final show in São Paulo, Brazil, in December 2024.
The concert featured early-era tracks including “Phantom Of The Opera,” “The Number Of The Beast,” “Powerslave,” and “Rime Of The Ancient Mariner,” along with an encore consisting of “Aces High,” “Fear Of The Dark,” and “Wasted Years.” Iron Maiden will continue touring across the United States and Canada, including a scheduled headlining slot at the Louder Than Life festival in Kentucky on September 17.
