The screenplay for an upcoming Ozzy Osbourne biopic is complete, and his family has begun meeting with potential directors. Developing the project with Sony Pictures and Polygram Entertainment, producers Jack, Sharon, and Aimee Osbourne plan to start filming in the spring or summer of 2027. Written by Lee Hall, the film focuses on the connection between Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne and will feature music spanning both his solo career and his work with Black Sabbath.
Jack Osbourne noted that casting discussions are underway and emphasized that the movie will cater directly to fan expectations rather than taking an experimental direction. The update follows Ozzy Osbourne’s death at age 76 on July 22, 2025, weeks after his final performance at a Black Sabbath farewell concert in Birmingham. No release date for the film has been announced.
