The band also dedicated “Boy Division” to late wrestler and former Everytime I Die guitarist Andy Williams.
During their Sept. 7 performance at Chase Field in Phoenix, My Chemical Romance played “The Light Behind Your Eyes” live for the first time. Session musician Kayleigh Goldsworthy of Scarlet Ending joined the band on strings for the track from Conventional Weapons, which frontman Gerard Way dedicated to his daughter.
During the show, Way also dedicated “Boy Division” to Andy Williams (“The Butcher”), the late wrestler and former Everytime I Die guitarist who passed away after collapsing during a wrestling event in Pennsylvania. The performance took place as part of the North American leg of the group’s Long Live The Black Parade anniversary tour, which is set to conclude on Nov. 22 in Jakarta, Indonesia.
