The event at Fashion Show Las Vegas offers exclusive merch alongside the band’s Sphere residency.
Metallica and the American Red Cross are teaming up for the “Red Cross x Metallica Blood Donation Experience,” an immersive blood drive opening Sept. 28, 2026, at Fashion Show Las Vegas on the Strip. Running through March 19, 2027, the limited-time drive overlaps with Metallica’s 24-show “Life Burns Faster” residency at Sphere. Donors and deferred potential donors will receive an exclusive T-shirt designed by Squindo while supplies last, and appointments are strongly encouraged due to limited daily capacity.
The Metallica-themed venue features band music, curated artwork, a pinball machine, refreshments in the Delta Backstage Lounge, and a TAMA-built replica of Lars Ulrich’s drum kit that donors are automatically entered to win. The event continues a partnership launched in April 2025 between the Red Cross, Metallica, and the band’s All Within My Hands Foundation, which has generated roughly 93,000 blood donations worldwide.
