A September nor’easter moving up the East Coast has forced the cancellation of multiple major concerts and outdoor music festivals across Massachusetts, New York, and Maryland due to dangerous weather conditions, including heavy rain, strong winds, and coastal flooding. In New York City, organizers canceled the All Things Go NYC Festival at Forest Hills Stadium, the Global Citizen Festival in Central Park, and the CBGB Festival in Brooklyn. The Oceans Calling Festival in Ocean City, Maryland, was also called off as the storm impacted the region through the weekend.
In Foxborough, Massachusetts, promoter Messina Touring Group canceled Ed Sheeran’s two scheduled performances at Gillette Stadium on Sept. 25 and Sept. 26 following consultations with local officials. Event organizers across the impacted venues emphasized fan, staff, and artist safety as their top priority, with automatic refunds being issued through ticketing platforms such as Ticketmaster and AXS, or available at original points of purchase.
