Gigs in San Francisco, Oakland, and Denver are being rescheduled, while Los Angeles and San Diego shows remain on schedule.
Social Distortion has postponed three concerts after frontman Mike Ness developed a chest infection. The affected dates include a Sept. 28 show at the Masonic in San Francisco, a Sept. 29 performance at the Fox in Oakland, and an Oct. 6 gig at the Mission Ballroom in Denver. In an Instagram post announcing the news, the band stated that while Ness’s vocal cords were improving, the chest infection forced the delay. Ticket holders for the postponed dates will be notified once makeup dates are confirmed.
Shows in Los Angeles and San Diego remain unaffected and will proceed as scheduled with Descendents and The Chats. The concert dates were scheduled in support of Social Distortion’s latest album, Born To Kill, released earlier this year. Founded by Ness in 1978, the band has released eight albums across its 46-year history.
