The zombie-inspired track produced by Will Yip marks the band’s first original release since 2024.
P.O.D. has released a new single titled “Outbreak” featuring vocalist Cory Brandan of Norma Jean. Produced by GRAMMY-winning producer Will Yip, the heavy track represents the band’s first original music since their 2024 album Veritas. The collaboration originated after P.O.D. and Norma Jean shared stages during a 2024 U.S. tour, with the song’s apocalyptic theme and title inspired by a passion for zombie movies and video games. A music video featuring zombies was directed by JT Ibanez.
Earlier this year, P.O.D. finished recording their 12th studio album with Yip. Following the single’s release, the band is set to perform a series of shows, including stops at Aftershock in Sacramento, Sick New World Texas in Fort Worth, House of Blues in Anaheim, Brujas Festival in Saltillo, Mexico, and Good Things Festival events across Australia.
