Led by former Butcher Babies vocalist Carla Harvey, the heavy rock band will release ‘Pretty Girls Do Ugly Things’ on Jan. 22.
Heavy rock band The Violent Hour, led by former Butcher Babies vocalist Carla Harvey, has released a music video for its single “Already Dead” and announced its debut 11-track album, Pretty Girls Do Ugly Things, arriving Jan. 22. Directed by Vicente Cordero from a concept created by Harvey, the video opens in a morgue before turning into a party about refusing to stay down. Harvey co-wrote the single with Blair Daly and her husband, Anthrax and Pantera drummer Charlie Benante, describing the track as being about reaching a breaking point where no one can hurt you anymore.
The upcoming album blends heavy metal, alternative, indie, and old-school rock ‘n’ roll while exploring themes of survival, change, and human nature. This announcement follows the band’s July 2025 self-titled debut EP on Megaforce Records, the August release of the single “Screenager,” and fall performances at the Rocklahoma, Louder Than Life, and Aftershock festivals.
