Travis Barker Undergoes Surgery to Fix Arm and Hand Numbness

The Blink-182 drummer expects to resume playing in a few weeks following a cubital tunnel release procedure.

Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, 50, underwent surgery on Tuesday, Oct. 6, to treat numbness in his arm, hand, and fingers. Barker shared details on Instagram Stories on Oct. 7, explaining that the issue began after a show last month. A nerve test conducted on Monday revealed he needed a cubital tunnel release to ease pressure on his ulnar nerve. Barker noted he chose to have the surgery early so he could continue playing for a long time, adding that he expects to be recovered in a few weeks.

Barker posted photos from the hospital accompanied by his wife, Kourtney Kardashian, and his 20-year-old daughter, Alabama Barker. Blink-182 is currently off the road and working on a new studio album. The band is scheduled to return to the stage in June 2027 for a series of festival dates across Europe.
