The four-day festival at the Kentucky Exposition Center brought hundreds of bands across six stages.
Louder Than Life 2026 ran from Sept. 17 to Sept. 20 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky, hosting hundreds of bands across six stages. The festival featured headlining sets from Iron Maiden—marking 50 years together and performing in Kentucky for the first time in four decades—alongside Thursday performances by Pantera and Megadeth. Limp Bizkit closed Saturday night with guest Gaige Rivers joining for a cover of “Behind Blue Eyes” in honor of late founding bassist Sam Rivers, while Danny Elfman performed on Sunday backed by a full orchestra for his first show in the eastern U.S. in nearly ten years.
Tool closed out the festival on Sunday with a 90-minute, 11-song set led by singer Maynard James Keenan less than a month after undergoing hip-replacement surgery. The event also featured an all-day Saturday lineup of female-led acts on the Decibel Stage—including Halestorm and Lindsey Stirling—as well as sets throughout the weekend from Tom Morello, Alice Cooper, Danzig, Ministry, Mastodon, Gojira, and Black Veil Brides.
