A Perfect Circle Releases ‘Starless’ Video Ahead of 2027 Tour, Also Shares ‘To Whom It May Concern’

A Perfect Circle put out a music video for its single “Starless” on Tuesday. It shows the song’s live debut at the band’s sold-out show in London. Jon Vulpine and Justin Jones shot the video, and Jake Johnston edited it.

The video lands as “Starless” spends a second straight week at No. 1 on the Active Rock radio charts. The footage comes from the June 3 show at O2 Academy Brixton, according to The PRP. A second song, “To Whom It May Concern,” came out too.

“Starless” first arrived in May. It was the band’s first new music in about eight years. Billy Howerdel produced it at his Lankershim Ranch Studio in Studio City, Calif., while Matty Green mixed it and Josh Freese played drums.

“Of course I’m excited to release the recordings, but our songs always take on an expanded personality once we start playing them live,” Maynard James Keenan said when the single came out.

Keenan recently had hip surgery. Still, the band sticks to its touring plans, which now stretch into the spring of 2027.

Howerdel and Keenan started A Perfect Circle in 1999. The group released its debut album, Mer De Noms, in 2000. It opened at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and became the highest-charting debut rock album of its time. Fans know it for “Judith,” “3 Libras,” and “The Hollow.”

Thirteenth Step followed in 2003. eMOTIVe came out in 2004. Eat the Elephant opened at No. 3 on the Billboard 200. The band has sold out the Hollywood Bowl, Madison Square Garden, and Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

The tour picks back up Nov. 25 in Mexico City at Estadio Fray Nano. The North American leg kicks off April 13 in Vancouver. Puscifer joins the band from April 13 to 25. The Cult takes over from April 27 to June 13, the day the leg ends in Phoenix at Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre.

Tickets for all dates are on sale at aperfectcircle.com.
