Grammy Nominees I Prevail Release “Hurricane (Reimagined)

I PREVAIL RELEASE ACOUSTIC VERSION OF HIT SONG “HURRICANE,” WHICH JUST HIT NO. 1 ON THE BILLBOARD ROCK CHART

TRACK COMES HOT ON THE HEELS OF 200 MILLION STREAMS FOR NEW ALBUM TRAUMA + ACCLAIM FROM VARIETY + NPR

After posting up nearly 200 million total streams on last year’s sophomore blockbuster Trauma and landing on the pages of Variety and beyond, two-time GRAMMY Award-nominated platinum rock juggernaut I Prevail reveal “Hurricane (Reimagined).” The Michigan outfit strips down its latest hit single “Hurricane” acoustically, highlighting the poignant lyrics, vulnerable performance, and impressive songwriting. It illuminates another side of the Michigan group and exerts a different kind of power from the original.

Listen to the fan favorite song here.

“‘Hurricane’ is one of the most important songs on Trauma,” the band shares. “It was one of the first tracks we wrote for the album and it became a pillar in building the central message and sound we wanted to create. From the day we wrote it, there was a vision for a stripped-down version of the song that would allow us to explore more delicate instrumentation, production, and vocals. This version definitely brings to life a different mood and atmosphere to experience the track.”

“Hurricane” has been storming up the radio charts in recent weeks and just landed at No.1 on the Billboard Rock Chart. It’s the first chart-topping single of the band’s career.

I Prevail received nominations for two GRAMMY Awards in 2020 — in the categories of “Best Rock Album” for Trauma and for “Best Metal Performance” for “Bow Down.” The band was recently featured in Variety and by NPR.

The story of I Prevail hits even harder than the music. They took a mental health breakdown, turned it into a powerful body of work, and made an audience connection online and I.R.L. on par with that of a pop or hip-hop act. These numbers—200 million streams and 100 million views and a Top 15 debut on the Billboard Top 200—remain unprecedented for rock. Trauma shocked the system quietly and continues to do so.

I PREVAIL ARE:

Brian Burkheiser [clean vocals]
Eric Vanlerberghe [harsh vocals]
Steve Menoian [lead guitar]
Dylan Bowman [rhythm guitar]
