Marilyn Manson Really Wants to Cover ‘Somewhere Over The Rainbow’ with Brandi Carlile

No “joke”…Marilyn Manson apparently really wants to collaborate with Brandi Carlile on a cover of the Judy Garland classic “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” from The Wizard of Oz.

Carlile mentioned this news while speaking with Zane Lowe. Carlile said (as transcribed by Loudwire), “Marilyn Manson wants to record ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’ with me. He’s been texting me about it.”

While she didn’t share any specific text (which are presumably pretty interesting), Carlile added, “He came [to my Joni Mitchell tribute concert in October 2019], and he cried so hard. He had all his makeup down his face, and turns out he’s the biggest Joni Mitchell fan on the face of the planet.”
