Guns N’ Roses Children’s Book Due Out in September

Guns N’ Roses is probably one of the last bands you’d think of to release a children’s book, but that will become a reality this fall.

The band’s social media accounts shared the trailer below for Sweet Child O’ Mine, due out September 1. Per the book’s Amazon description, “Iconic band Guns N’ Roses gives new meaning to the beloved lyrics from ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’ in this vivid, heartfelt picture book. Follow a child’s wondrous discovery that music is everywhere around us–from the gentle wind blowing through the bluest skies, to the fearful crash of the thunder and the rain. With Jennifer Zivoin’s evocative, sweeping paintings, ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine celebrates love and music, and how they bring us together in the sweetest ways.”

Hmmm…not quite sure if somewhere Erin Everly, Axl Rose’s then-girlfriend and inspiration for the song, is angry about the “new meaning” to the song, the “new meaning” will surely be as touching as the original.

Sweet Child O’ Mine is available for pre-order at Amazon.
