Lady Gaga’s Haus Labs Partners With Klarna To Open Content Studio

Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga has long been known for delivering cutting-edge content – so it comes as no surprise that the best-selling artist, actress, and entrepreneur is expanding her influence by opening a creative space in Los Angeles. The Studio by Klarna x Haus Labs is a partnership between the artist’s cosmetics brand, Haus Labs, and the Swedish fintech company Klarna.

Initially built as a content studio for Haus Labs, the state-of-the-art space includes a sound stage, an interactive “Klarna Smooth Lounge,” and a glam room for hair and makeup. Now, Klarna x Haus Labs will be expanding to operate as an incubator for rising creators, with mentorships available every six months. Initially, the program will work with three budding creatives, including makeup artist Tavaris Jefferson and fashion/lifestyle influencer Haya Abid. To help the mentees further expand their work, Klarna will also be offering up a $10,000 grant.

“As we continue to grow as a brand, we felt it was important to create a space of love and freedom that people in our community could come to and feel free to create without rules,” said Gaga, who launched the vegan and cruelty-free cosmetics line in 2019. “We want to lift up the creators in our community as they continue to hone their crafts and give them the tools they need to do so.”

Klarna CEO Sebastian Siemiatkowski added, “Klarna has always sought to challenge the status quo and put creativity at the heart of everything we do as a brand and a business. We’re excited to have collaborated with Haus to create a space that embodies both our brands’ vision for and commitment to creativity, and to provide a platform for innovative, boundary-pushing creators to elevate their artistic work and their creative businesses.”

Siemiatkowski continued, “Creative expression has been important to so many during the last year, and more than ever, it’s important to amplify those voices. This is something that both Haus and Klarna recognized, which made us even more passionate about finding meaningful new ways to support the creative community.”

Lady Gaga, who recently took home a Grammy for “Rain on Me” with Ariana Grande, is currently nominated for a GLADD Award for Outstanding Musical Artist. Winners will be announced during a virtual ceremony on April 8.
