The Weeknd And Ariana Grande Tease New Version Of ‘Save Your Tears’

Weeknd Ariana

The Weeknd has excited fans with what appears to be a snippet of his song “Save Your Tears” featuring Ariana Grande.

Rumors of a remix to the Canadian superstar’s hit single have been floating around for a while, but today he shared what appears to be a snippet of the song with new vocals from Grande. The eight-second clip, which offers a set of isolated vocals from the pair, matches the bridge of the song. Grande is tagged in the tweet, all but confirming that she will be appearing on an updated version of the song. If true, the remix would bring together two of the biggest pop stars on the planet.

“Save Your Tears” originally appeared on The Weeknd’s most recent album, After Hours, released back in March 2020. The Weeknd shows no signs of slowing up after a dominant 2020. Alongside this rumored collaboration, the singer has announced 2022 tour dates in support of the album and has also pledged monetary relief to aid hunger relief in Ethiopia.

Last month, The Weeknd teased that his After Hours era might not be over quite yet. Taking to Twitter on Friday, March 26, he wrote: “p.s. this chapter isn’t quite done yet …” He followed it up with a second tweet that said: “still tying some loose ends.”

After Hours features hits “Save Your Tears,” “Heartless,” and Blinding Lights,” the latter of which has become the first song ever to spend an entire year in the Top 10 of the US Hot 100 singles chart.

Elsewhere in Weeknd news, the artist is one of the latest creators to join in on the music industry’s latest market: NFTs. The musician auctioned off an exclusive collection of music and artwork hosted on Nifty Gateway in a limited auction held on April 3 at 2 p.m. ET.
