Drake Teases ‘Certified Lover Boy’ Featured Guests On Billboards Ahead Of Release

Drake’s long-teased sixth studio album Certified Lover Boy is almost here. Ahead of the project’s September 3 release through Republic Records, the international star has teased the album’s featured guests on billboards posted in relevant cities throughout the world.

“HEY ATLANTA,” one billboard in the Georgia city read. “SLIME PLUTO SAVAGE AND BABY ARE ON CLB.” The nicknames correlate with Atlanta rap stars Young Thug, Future, 21 Savage and Lil Baby.

Drake went for a more straightforward approach in Memphis, where it was revealed that acclaimed singer and songwriter Yebba would appear on the project as well as Three 6 Mafia co-founder Project Pat. In Nigeria, a billboard announced that Nigerian singer Tems would be featured on Certified Lover Boy, too.

Other postings revealed that Chicago rapper Smurk would be on the project as well as Californian R&B stars Giveon and Ty Dolla $ign.

Some other states got more cryptic announcements, leaving plenty of room for fan theories as to which artists from various states will appear on the album. In New York, the teaser read: “HEY NEW YORK, THE GOAT IS ON CLB.” Fans are suspecting that the featured artist being teased is Jay-Z.

Fans are also speculating which Houston artist will make an appearance after a posted billboard teased: “HEY HOUSTON, THE HOMETOWN HERO IS ON CLB.” Names that have been thrown out online in response have included Beyoncé, Megan Thee Stallion and Travis Scott.

Prior to releasing the collaboration-teasing billboards, Drake released a separate set of postings in his hometown of Toronto that more so teased the tone of the album. One read, “YOUR NEW FLING IS A FAN” and another “I DON’T MISS… LET ALONE MISS YOU.” Even with the clues Drake has dropped, much mystery still surrounds Certified Lover Boy, setting it up to be one of the year’s most anticipated releases.
