Live Nation, the world’s leading live entertainment company, has announced the expansion of its global artist discovery platform ONES TO WATCH to Australia. ONES TO WATCH Australia is set to be a leading destination for local music fans to discover their new favourite artists. The platform will showcase rising new talent within Australia, including musicians, bands, and producers, who will be provided with professional support to help kickstart their careers by leveraging Live Nation’s global network.

Currently live in the US, UK, China and New Zealand, the ONES TO WATCH platform is dedicated to introducing new artists and their music to fans globally and includes exclusive interviews, playlists, live performances, and more music content. It has played a part in the kick starting of careers for major household names, including Dua LipaHalseyBeneeYungblud and more.

Existing not only as an interactive digital platform, ONES TO WATCH Australia will officially launch with a live showcase in collaboration with the Government of South Australia’s Music Development Office, and Music SA. The showcase is set to be held at Adelaide’s Lion Arts Factory on Friday October 8 and will include performances from local acts COLOURBLINDEAST AV3 and TEENAGE JOANS. The night will feature three of South Australia’s 2021 Robert Stigwood Fellowship Recipients, and is taking place as an invitation-only segment  of Music SA’s annual industry showcase event, Scouted. This is just the first in a series of regular quarterly events as part of ONES TO WATCH aimed at providing these emerging artists an opportunity to get in front of key industry professionals and perform to a local community of live music lovers.

In the lead up to each quarterly event, Live Nation fans will have the chance to win tickets to gain access to this invitation-only event. Register at onestowatch.com to find out more.

Chris Akavi, Live Nation promoter and ONES TO WATCH curator said, “ONES TO WATCH has played an important part in developing some of today’s biggest breakout stars. By launching the platform in Australia, emerging artists are able to reach both local and global music fans at an incredibly fast pace. The ONES TO WATCH program and Live Nation are proud to be growing a  platform that shines a light on up and coming talent and helps them to get on stages across the country.”

Minister for Innovation and Skills David Pisoni said it was fantastic to see three 2021 Robert Stigwood Fellows being featured in the Ones to Watch, showcasing South Australia’s outstanding musicians to the world as part of the Scouted program this year.

“I’ve no doubt that the arrival of ONES TO WATCH will assist the next wave of talented local musicians to join the pantheon of national and international stars emanating from South Australia,” said Minister Pisoni.

Kim Roberts, General Manager of Music SA adds, “We’re delighted to be partnering with Live Nation to launch Ones To Watch at the beginning of our annual Scouted showcase.  I’m really excited by the possibilities that the Ones To Watch platform will provide for artists and look forward to watching the careers of both the featured Ones To Watch and Scouted artists blossom”.

The program has been a huge success for Live Nation and ONES TO WATCH partners Vodafone New Zealand. Since launching in NZ 12 months ago, the program has delivered four showcase events featuring 13 emerging artists, with more than 45 pieces of unique artist content from showcases and artist interviews, which have been shared globally with 8.7 million total marketing reach to date.

The launch of ONES TO WATCH in Australia is committed not only to creating a more open stage for local emerging artists but also bringing new music to fans.
