In a busy release day for the global pop star, Justin Bieber has shared a slew of new content including the music video for his latest single “Ghost,” the three-track expansion to his latest album Justice: The Complete Edition, and Justin Bieber: Our World, an Amazon documentary recounting the singer’s return to the stage.
Bieber previously premiered “Ghost” as the latest single to be released from Justice at the MTV Video Music Awards with an emotional performance of the moving track. For the music video, he recruited Colin Tilley as director and award-winning actress Diane Keaton as his co-star.
Much like the song itself, the “Ghost” visual heavily adopts elements of storytelling. Bieber and Keaton star as a mother and son duo mourning the loss of their father and husband, respectively, and the lasting impact of his passing two years later.
“Ghost” is one of the more emotional songs on Justice, however the new bonus tracks tacked on for The Complete Edition keep spirits relatively high. The new songs, which were previously released on exclusive physical editions of the album, include the glitchy “Red Eye” featuring TroyBoi, the piano-based ballad “Angels Speak” with longtime collaborator Poo Bear, and “Hailey,” a tribute to Bieber’s wife.
With Bieber taking Justice on the road early next year on the rescheduled Justice world tour, the now streaming Amazon Prime Video documentary Justin Bieber: Our World takes viewers behind the scenes of the singer’s first live performance after a three-year hiatus.
The 94-minute special features a complete documentation of Bieber’s 2020 New Year’s Eve concert where he performed from the rooftop of the Beverly Hilton Hotel with 240 special guests and fans in the audience with millions more watching at home.
Directed by Michael D. Ratner, Our World recounts the rehearsal and construction of the show from a month out up to the day of the performance. It also features exclusive footage captured by Bieber himself including special moments between himself and his wife.
