Robert Plant And Alison Krauss To Be The Eagles’ Special Guests In Hyde Park

Robert Plant and Alison Krauss will be the special guests on the newly-announced June 2022 London headline show by the Eagles. The show will be part of next year’s American Express presents BST Hyde Park extravaganza, taking place over two weekends next summer.

The Eagles, featuring Don Henley, Joe Walsh, and Timothy B. Schmit with Vince Gill and Deacon Frey, will be touring across Europe throughout next June, with dates beginning in the Netherlands on June 17. In the UK, they’ll play at Liverpool’s Anfield Stadium, Edinburgh’s BT Murrayfield Stadium and Dublin’s Aviva Stadium before completing the run in Hyde Park on Sunday, June 26. Tickets for all the show go on sale on November 5 at 9am local time.

The full supporting line-up for the London show will be announced in due course, but Plant and Krauss are confirmed as the event’s stellar special guests. Their new album Raise The Roof will be released on Rounder on November 19, and is currently previewed by the tracks “High and Lonesome” and “Can’t Let Go.” The New York Times has written that on Raise The Roof, the artists “still fit together like a pair of dusty boots nestled atop a welcome mat.’

The duo’s upcoming full-length, again produced by T Bone Burnett, is the long-awaited follow-up to 2007’s spectacularly successful Raising Sand, which won six Grammy Awards and multiple sales certifications, including double platinum status in the UK.

Plant and Krauss’ 2022 tour dates are to be announced, but the Hyde Park audience will be among the first to witness the new songs performed live by the great rock frontman and the 27-time Grammy-winner.

Already announced as headliners for American Express presents BST Hyde Park in 2022 are Elton John on June 24, which is already sold out; Pearl Jam on July 8 and 9; Duran Duran on July 10 and Adele, with shows on July 1 and 2.
