Singer and songwriter Amber Mark has shared the music video for her latest single “Softly” pulled from her upcoming debut album Three Dimensions Deep, out January 28 via PMR/Interscope Records.
The fifth preview of the album to be shared ahead of its release, “Softly” samples the seminal Craig David track “Rendezvous” for a smooth, rhythmic bounce. Alongside the other singles – “Worth It,” “Competition,” “Foreign Things” – the song shows off the melting pot of influences that inspired the kaleidoscopic sound of the album to come.
“Three Dimensions Deep is a musical journey of what questions you begin to ask yourself when you start looking to the universe for answers.” Mark said of the album. “I can only go as deep as the third dimension as that’s how we see the world, but what about when you start looking to the universe within for answers.”
A little while after the album’s release, Mark will be taking the project on the road for a trek through Europe and the UK before popping back over for shows in the US and Canada. The tour will begin in Paris on March 5 and wrap up with a hometown show at New York’s Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn on May 21.
Tickets for Mark’s upcoming tour can be found on the singer’s official website.
Three Dimensions Deep comes four years after the arrival of Mark’s second EP Conexão. The project was essential to her thematic development as a songwriter and artist, laying the groundwork for the performer we encounter now.
Three Dimensions Deep is out on January 28 and available for pre-order. View the album’s official tracklist below.
