Guns N’Roses, Foo Fighters, KISS, And Korn To Headline Welcome to Rockville 2022

As this year’s edition of Welcome To Rockville draws to a close, promoter Danny Wimmer has announced who will be headlining next year’s event. Guns N’ Roses, Foo Fighters, KISS, and Korn will be topping the bill at Welcome To Rockville 2022, which will be returning to its usual May slot at the Daytona International Speedway in Florida.

In a statement posted to Twitter, Wimmer said: “We knew we had to do something massive to follow the biggest Welcome To Rockville in history so we went out and got rock legends Guns N’Roses, newly inducted Rock N’Roll Hall of Famers Foo Fighters, (you wanted the best, we got the best) Kiss and DWP’s most requested band, Korn. We’re looking forward to breaking records at THE WORLD CENTER OF ROCK with you, see you in 2022!”

After being canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Welcome To Rockville returned in a new location, having been moved from Jacksonville’s Metropolitan Park as it was believed to be in need of a bigger venue. The capacity of the festival has now increased to 40,000 fans as a result.

This isn’t the only change made by organizers – for the first time ever, the festival was expanded to four days as opposed to three, a change will be repeated for 2022. An additional slew of bands were brought in to perform the day before the official start for campers who had arrived early to the new site.

This year’s edition of Welcome To Rockville was headlined by Nine Inch Nails, Disturbed, and Metallica, the latter of who is performing two completely different sets across the weekend. Other acts on this lineup included Deftones, Slipknot, Rob Zombie, Social Distortion, The Offspring, and Mastodon.

Meanwhile, Korn just announced their 14th studio album will arrive early next year. Requiem will be released on February 4, 2022 via Loma Vista Recordings, and the band shared the first single, “Start The Healing,” earlier this week.

Requiem is available for pre-order.
