Ariana Grande And Kid Cudi’s Collab Single From Film ‘Don’t Look Up’ Arrives Dec 3

Ariana Grande and Kid Cudi will share their collaborative single “Just Look Up” on Friday, December 3. The song comes from the upcoming film Don’t Look Up, which arrives in select theaters on December 10 and will be streaming on Netflix starting December 24.

“We knew no bounds / Well at the speed of sound / Ridin’ against all odds but soon / Against ourselves,” Grande sings in the snippet shared to social media.

The snippet Kid Cudi shared features a portion of his own verse, where he raps: “Know I let you down, a didn’t deny it / And there’s so much you can lose and yes, that matters / I’ve been dealin’ with madness / Wasn’t the man you needed / You dealing with a sadness, truthfully, it’s all on me.”

Adam McKay’s Don’t Look Up follows an astronomy graduate student (played by Jennifer Lawrence) and her professor (portrayed by Leonardo DiCaprio) after they discover that a comet is going to crash into the Earth.

Grande and Kid Cudi act in the film alongside Meryl Streep, Jonah Hill, Timothée Chalamet, Cate Blanchett, and Ron Perlman. The film’s score was helmed by Nicholas Britell, who also made the music for Adam McKay’s The Big Short and Vice.

“What that did was bring out what the movie is really about, which is how we communicate with each other. We can’t even talk to each other anymore. We can’t even agree,” McKay told the New York Times of the film. “So it’s about climate change, but at its root, it’s about what has the internet, what have cell phones, what has the modern world done to the way we communicate.”

Don’t Look Up follows the announcement that Grande will be portraying Glinda in the live-action adaptation of Wicked alongside Cynthia Erivo’s Elphaba.

On November 5, Kid Cudi premiered the documentary A Man Named Scott on Amazon Prime Video. The film focuses on the songwriter and rapper’s holistic career with insight from his closest friends and collaborators.

“Just Look Up” is out December 3. Pre-save the song on Spotify and Apple Music.
