[LISTEN] Froggy Debut a New Single, “Jimmy’s Song”

Philly’s new favorite punk trio, Froggy, released their much anticipated new single, “Jimmy’s Song” at midnight on March 4th. The song made its radio debut on 93.3 WMMR hours later.

If you recall, the band hinted to Preston & Steve that they had some studio time coming up shortly after Camp Out For Hunger. According to Froggy’s most recent Instagram post, the song was mastered at the legendary punk recording studio, The Blasting Room, in Fort Collins, CO.

“Jimmy’s Song” is the first single off Froggy’s new album. The release date of that album is still to be determined, but, if this song is any indication, this album is going to shred.

To our surprise and enjoyment, the lyrics of this single deliver a new look into the personal lives of the band members. Technically “Pizza Ball” and “7-Eleleven Nachos” feature their personal love affairs with snacks, but “Jimmy’s Song” goes deeper with the lyrics describing a unique type of heartbreak and rejection.

Lyrics and bass by Brooke, wicked guitar by Morgan, and groovy drums by Fiona, this is “Jimmy’s Song”:
