Billy Joel Classics Made into a Parody Song About Passover

For those celebrating Passover beginning tomorrow evening (April 15), this parody medley featuring reworked versions of some of Billy Joel’s biggest hits might just provide the perfect soundtrack for the holiday that even Elijah would love.

The Jewish a cappella group Six13 recently shared “A Billy Joel Passover,” a parody song about the various traditions related to Passover. The track features reworked versions of “Piano Man,” “Movin’ Out,” “We Didn’t Start the Fire” and “Scenes from an Italian Restaurant.”

The video’s caption on YouTube reads, “Sing us a song for the seder, man! Celebrating our freedom and 50 years of the #PianoMan himself, the one and only Billy Joel, with a few of his greatest hits. Billy is one of our musical heroes (not to mention a member of the tribe!), so this one’s very special to us. #ChagSameach!”

Six13 even made a printable document of the song’s lyrics in case you want to sing “A Billy Joel Passover” during Passover. What a bunch of mensches!
