Nikki Sixx on Why No Guests Will Be Allowed Backstage During the Stadium Tour

Nikki Sixx took to Twitter to explain the long-awaited Stadium Tour isn’t messing around and will do everything it can to prevent any postponements/cancelations due to COVID-19.

Sixx wrote, “It’s been exhausting trying to explain to people why we can’t have guests backstage. Our fans have waited almost 3 years for this tour. If one of us got Covid and had to cancel the show can you imagine the disappointment? We’re not here to take f—ing selfies. This is for the fans.”

The Stadium Tour featuring Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Poison and Joan Jett & the Blackhearts was first announced in December 2019 and was originally slated to take place in the summer of 2020. Obviously, the ongoing coronavirus pandemic derailed the tour for quite some time, but it’s finally set to kick off on June 16 in Atlanta.

Postponing the tour was clearly a disappointment, but Sixx shared in August 2021 that he had no regrets in the decision. He shared via Instagram at the time, “I’m so happy we decided to not tour during this pandemic…….100% Not a hard decision to make when so many people’s lives are at risk. I MISS IT ‘REALLY’ BAD AND CAN’T WAIT TO HIT THE ROAD IN 2022.”
