In the lead-up to her highly-anticipated debut album Dear Amelia, out July 8 via Interscope Records, Renforshort has offered up another preview of the record with the new single “I Miss Myself.”

“‘I miss myself’ is about feeling like you need to be all these other people, until eventually you don’t know who you are anymore,” Renforshort shared in a statement. “I wanted the song to feel like when you’re having a conversation and trying to stay calm, until you finally can’t hold back anymore and everything just explodes.”

This explosive self-reflection appears as a major theme throughout Dear Amelia, which is said to function as a narration of the singer’s inner psyche. Throughout the record, Renforshort explores the depths of anxiety and depression hand in hand with disassociation and self-erasure.

The album sees Renforshort teaming up with a long list of collaborators, including her long-time writing and producing partner Jeff Hazin as well as David Pramik, Alexander 23, Andy Seltzer, John Ryan, Tia Scola, and Nick Long.

Dear Amelia has now been previewed by “I Miss Myself” and previously released singles “Moshpit,” “Made For You,” and “We’ll Make This Okay,” which includes a feature from pop-punk giant Travis Barker.

At 20 years old, Renforshort earliest streaming releases date back to 2019. With a debut album close on the horizon, the singer and songwriter is set to unlock another realm of her growing discography.

Later this year, Renforshort will embark on a headlining North American tour. The trek will begin on September 15 with a show in her hometown of Toronto at Long Boat Hall. Throughout September and October, the tour will make stops in Detroit, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Nashville, Atlanta, Dover, Washington D.C., New York, Boston, Montreal, and Los Angeles.
